COMPANY HISTORY MILESTONES
1989 – WILD APPETITE was born as a manufacturer and marketer of gourmet preserves and conserves by Gerald & Virginia O’Leary on their Blueberry farm in Matakana, north of Auckland, NZ.
1993 – WILD APPETITE Brand established. Product range extended to Gourmet Sauces and Dressings.
1997 – RE DESIGNED packaging and bottles to reflect the target market of specialty stores and gift market associated with the Brand image.
1999 / 2000 – FIRST EXPORT ORDER TO DENMARK. Exports expanded to Australia, Germany, UK, USA, Dubai and Singapore.
2002 / 2003
UK GREAT TASTE AWARDS – Wild Appetite Matakana Bell Pepper Sauce, Melanesian Mango Sauce and Hokey Pokey Chocolate Sauce won GOLD.
Wild Appetite Wasabi & Ginger Dressing won Silver.
Wild Appetite Smokey Barbecue Sauce, Avocado & Garlic Dressing and Tropical Sensation Dessert Sauce won Bronze
2003 – AUSTRALIAN market developed.
2004
Australian Fiery Foods Award – Hot As Chilli Sauce – GOLD.
Cajun BBQ Sauce, Mexican Chilli Salsa and Sweet Chilli Chutney - SILVER
2004 – MOVED TO NEW PREMISES in Albany, Auckland to cater for expansion.
2008 – LAUNCH OF URBAN APPETITE Brand
2009 – BUSINESS PURCHASED BY Peter McCracken & Mark Tasker
